What do transaction statuses mean?

Every Zucoins transfer moves through a small number of states as it's sent, accepted and confirmed. Understanding these statuses helps you know what's happening with a transfer at a glance, and when you might need to take action.

Because Zucoins uses a two-way transaction process, a transfer's status reflects both the sender's and the receiver's actions, not just one side.

Transaction Statuses

  • Pending: a transfer code has been generated and shared, but the receiver hasn't yet pasted and confirmed it. See "How to troubleshoot a pending transaction."

  • Confirmed/complete: both the sender and receiver have completed their side of the two-way transaction, and the SplitChain network has updated both wallets' true balances.

  • Expired: the transfer code's time window passed before the receiver confirmed it. The sender will need to start a new transfer — see "Do transfers expire?"

  • Failed: the transaction could not be matched or validated on the network, often shown with a specific error message. See "How to troubleshoot a failed transaction" for what these messages mean.

Important Notes

  • A transfer remains Pending until both parties have completed the transaction.

  • Expired and Failed transactions cannot be resumed and must be created again.

  • If a transaction fails repeatedly, review any error messages shown in the Zucoins Wallet or contact Zucoins Support for assistance.
