Before push notifications were introduced, copy and paste was the original method for completing Zucoins transfers. It remains available today as a manual alternative.
With this method, the sender creates a transfer code, shares it with the receiver, and the receiver enters the code into their wallet to accept the transfer.
Some users may prefer this method when sharing transfers through messaging apps or situations where notifications are not available.
Before You Begin
A device that supports copy and paste.
A way to share the transfer code between the sender and receiver.
Step-by-Step Instructions
As the sender, generate your transfer code by starting a "Send" transaction as usual.
Why: This produces the code the receiver will need to accept the transfer.
Copy the transfer code and send it to the receiver.
Why: This is the manual alternative to a push notification for getting the transfer code to the receiver.
As the receiver, copy the transfer code you've been sent.
Why: You'll need this code in your clipboard to paste into your wallet.
Open your wallet and use the "Paste Transfer Code" button, or paste manually if prompted.
Why: This brings the transfer code into your wallet so you can review and accept it.
Confirm the transaction.
Why: The transfer is only completed after the receiver confirms it as part of Zucoins' two-way transaction process.
Troubleshooting
Problem: The paste feature isn't working on my Android phone.
Cause: Zucoins notes that the Samsung browser in particular can have issues with this feature.
Solution: Check your clipboard permissions or follow Zucoins' official troubleshooting instructions for paste issues.
Problem: Pasting doesn't happen automatically when I receive a transfer code.
Cause: Clipboard paste permission may not be enabled, either because it was declined previously or disabled during setup.
Solution: Enable clipboard paste permissions for the wallet in your device settings. If this doesn't work, follow Zucoins' official reinstall guide.
Important Notes
Clipboard permissions allow Zucoins Wallet to detect transfer codes and offer automatic pasting. Without this permission, you may need to paste the code manually.
If copy and paste is not working, check your device permissions first before retrying the transfer.
A transfer is not completed until the receiver confirms it.
