The Zucoins Wallet is a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means it's installed directly from your browser instead of the Google Play Store.
This is a deliberate design choice: Zucoins has explained that building the wallet as a PWA supports its goal of being a decentralised, cross-platform cryptocurrency that doesn't depend on a third-party app store.
On Android, the wallet is installed directly from the Zucoins website using your browser, and it then behaves like any other app on your home screen.
Before You Begin
An Android device with an up-to-date browser
Google Chrome (recommended)
An internet connection
Step-by-Step Instructions
Open Google Chrome on your Android device.
Go to wallet.zucoins.com.
Follow your browser's prompt to install the wallet to your device.
Open the Zucoins Wallet from your apps list or home screen once installation is complete.
Troubleshooting
Problem: Android shows the message "Wallet is already installed."
Cause: This message can appear when attempting to install the wallet on Android when the system detects an existing installation.
Solution: Check your home screen or apps list for the existing Zucoins Wallet installation. If the issue continues, follow Zucoins' official troubleshooting instructions or contact Zucoins Support.
Problem: The Paste Transfer Code button does not work after installing on Android.
Cause: Clipboard paste permission may not be enabled. This permission allows the wallet to detect and use copied transfer codes automatically.
Solution: Check your device settings and allow clipboard/paste access for the Zucoins Wallet. If the issue continues, follow the official Zucoins wallet recovery or reinstall instructions.
Important Notes
Because the wallet is a PWA, there is no separate app to update from a store — updates are delivered automatically through the browser.
If you see a message that the wallet is already installed, see the Troubleshooting section below.
