How to create a new Zucoins Wallet

The Zucoins Wallet is the self-custody application you use to hold, send and receive Zucoins on the SplitChain network. Before you can take part in any peer-to-peer transaction, you need a wallet of your own.

Because Zucoins Wallet is self-custody, the wallet you create stores your private key on your own device rather than on a Zucoins server. This means you, and only you, are responsible for keeping it safe.

Before You Begin

  • A compatible smartphone or modern browser

  • An active internet connection

  • A few minutes to complete a backup once your wallet is created

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open your device's web browser.

2. Go to wallet.zucoins.com.

3. Follow the on-screen prompts to set up your new Zucoins Wallet.

4. When prompted, install the wallet to your home screen so you can access it easily.

5. Store your wallet backup securely once your wallet is created.

Important Notes

  • Zucoins Wallet offers self-custody ownership, meaning your private key is stored on your device and not held by Zucoins.

  • Back up your new wallet as soon as it is created. Zucoins has confirmed that a wallet backup file contains your private key and is the only way to restore your wallet data if your device is lost, reset or replaced.
